How to become a certified Inspector

School of Surface Technology

An IICRC Senior Inspector has to complete the Carpet Cleaning Technician Certification and the Repair and Reinstallation Technician Certification prior to taking the Senior Inspector's course.

Once the Senior Inspector's course is successfully completed, the student may apply for IICRC certification as a Senior Inspector.

This application will require that 3 reports be submitted for review within 6 months of completing the SI course. If those reports are approved, then 7 more must be submitted for partial review. When this review has been completed and the reports approved, then the applicant may become a certified Senior Inspector or a practicing Senior Inspector.

The Senior exam is
open book and includes at least one written report. If for some reason a student does not pass the Senior exam, the exam may be retaken by arrangement with your local library or other approved agency.
